Kralovetz would take the early lead. Adam White would advance up into the second position and apply to Kralovetz. The race was very fast paced as not one caution flag would fly. White had a chance to pull along side of Kralovetz about midway thru the race by as he challenged for the lead his number eight machine slipped in turn two and added the extra cushion Kralovetz needed to hold on for the flag to flag victory. 1. #21 Dallas Kralovetz 2. #8 Adam White 3. #2 Dillon Kralovetz 4. #42 Matt Frazer 5. #33 Reagan May.
8/11/11 Iron MT Daily News Article Even though Kingsford Dairy Queen and Iron Mountain Power sports are bringing us another great night of racing, this article is going to be a short one. Mainly because we tore up a lot of stuff on our car last week in the hundred lapper and as soon as I’m done writing this I am going back out into the shop to work on the racecar. Whenever I race in a hundred lap race we try to put together some kind of simple strategy based on our starting position in the race. If we start toward the back we try to save the car taking care of the tires, brakes and making sure all the fenders, doors and nose stay on. If we start toward the front we will try and race hard and get to the top three or four spots and try and check out so we can once again save the car. I am thinking that many of the drivers threw the whole strategy thing out the window after the first ten laps. With 50 laps to go we were down to 11 cars after we started 22. Numerous crashes and mechanical failures took its toll of the field. However, I had a couple people come up to me during the race and ask me “What’s wrong with the 97 car?” and “Is Iverson having problems?” That was in the first 50 laps. I just smiled at them and said “Really.” I knew what he was doing and I knew where he was going. I thought there was going to be a show down with the 77 car of Kris and Toby Kelly as they went to the front very quickly only to break a power steering line and they ended up as one of the casualties. Once Jamie Iverson got the lead I knew he was going to be hard to pass but Mark Schroeder was working hard to close the gap but just couldn’t do it. Congratulations to Jamie and Julie, team, and their sponsors; Dow Dawson Trucking, Wards Auto Body and J Iverson Trucking. Some other performances that can’t go without being mentioned are Pepsi late model driver Reagan May. She didn’t have a great starting spot and I’m not sure she has ever raced in a hundred lap race before but she sure looked strong. She finished sixth in a 111 lap race with one of our most talented fields of cars. Her 15 year old brother Parker won the B feature and earned a starting birth in one of our most prestigious races. Parker and I joke around that I am his personal driving coach as I helped him one Wednesday night while he was practicing. I don’t like it when his sister beats him but it’s all fun! Rookie driver Kyle Rhoades also made it to the “big show” and earned his way in as well. Shawn Majkrzak also turned in a great qualifying time to get his team in as well. I always enjoy driver introductions listening to the crowd cheer for their favorite driver but this week the Driver introductions were great, seeing Bruce White, Mark Miller and Steve DeBaker be recognized by the fans, as all three of them have raced in just about every Stateline Challenge. It was a big night for our Pepsi late model drivers and our huge turnout of fans made it even better for them. In the Auto Value super stock division it didn’t take veteran Mark Bubloni long to find victory lane. After taking off half the summer, he has come on strong the last couple of weeks and won his first feature. Just as impressive was rookie Arron Novak of Norway pushing him around the track the last few laps. This week we are going back to our twin 20 lap features for the Auto Value super stock division and I can hear the cheers and the jeers from the grandstands already. I can’t wait it’s going to be great. See you at the track!
8/6/11 Island Resort and Casino Stateline Challenge Jamie Iverson captured the checkerd flag Friday Night in the 111 lap Island Resort and Casino Stateline Challenge. Mark Bubloni took the win in the Auto Value Superstock A feature, while Corey Degrave won his first DQ-Dog feature.
7/30/11 Auto Value Round II Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Round II Pepsi Late Model Feature was led early on by 17 year old Reagan May, as she maneuvered around pole sitter Matt Frazer. Bobby Rose moved up from his fourth starting position to take the lead away from May on lap eight. Rose pulled away from the field but Mark Schroeder had moved up from his sixth starting position to the second position and started to rope in the leader. Schroeder drove to the inside of Rose on lap 22, and took control of the lead on lap 23. Schoeder had a nice comfortable lead as Adam White and Craig Schei battled for the second position. As the end of the race grew closer, Schei and White began to reel in Schroeder as it became a three car battle for the thousand dollar first place prize. As Schroeder came across the line to lead lap 48, he slowed considerably and minor contact was made between him and the #8 of White as Craig Schei took full advantage scooting underneath and snatching the lead away with one lap remaining. Schei had climbed all the way from the twelfth starting position to lead the final lap winning the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Round II thousand dollar prize the biggest race win for the #44 of Craig Schei. 2. #8 Adam White 3. #7 Mark Schroeder 4. #97 Jamie Iverson 5. #36 Tony Wells.
